Reddit communities move to Discord after protests

Reddit protests have persisted through despite company threats to takeover subreddits. The company managed to carry out its threats on one of the biggest subreddit, r/malefashionadvice with five million users, which backfired on the company. Moderators initially gave in to the threats by going public, but then later made itself private again, because of the impact on disabled moderators who had been relying on the accessibility features of third-party apps. The group argued that third-party apps like Apollo, RIF, Boost, and Sync had better accessibility tools than other apps Reddit has permitted.
