Luis Diaz statement calls on ELN to release his father
Luis Diaz has release d a statement calling for the release of his father , one week after his parents were kidnapped in Colombia. Both of Diaz’ parents were captured by the National Liberation Army (ELN) , a left-wing guerrilla group, in their hometown of Barrancas. Diaz’ mother was rescued by police the following day, but his father remains missing. “Every second, every minute our anxiety grows,” Diaz’s statement read. “My mother, my brothers and I are desperate, anxious and have no words to describe what we are feeling. This suffering will only end when we have him home with us . “I beg that they free him immediately, respecting his integrity and ending this painful wait.
